As I reflect on this past week with family, I think about the '
should've beens.' :
- As we celebrated our baby girl, there
should've been excitement for the life to come.
- As family gathered, there
should've been another boy playing with our baby boy.
- I
should've been prepping; buying baby clothes, getting the crib ready and washing old clothes.
- We
should've been laughing at my daughter's party instead of remembering where we were five years ago.
Even in the midst of the
'should've beens...'
Jesus
is enough.
Though we know it. It's often hard to feel it.
We pray for truth to give us hope.
To saturate our every thought.
And we remember.
The boy Major would have been.
The baby we long, ache and moan to meet.
We grasp and grapple to the hope of seeing them again.
Inspite of the '
should've beens.'

Great Reward.
