Today...

Wont you look down upon me, Jesus You've got to help me make a stand .You've just got to see me through another day...
(James Taylor- 'Fire and Rain')

I read a post by a mother who lost her child to stillbirth, she talked about the agonizing pain of the initial loss, but also the pain of secondary losses, the loss of being carefree, the loss of celebrating milestones....

This is a day filled with painful secondary losses...filled...

Today our nephew would have been 2.

Would have been...

Today is a day for those Major has left behind. We know he is in the arms of the One who can love him better than anyone...But today, even a robust view of God, though ever so true, does not stop the pain and grief. It is overwhelming...

Please remember our family in prayer today. Dave, Darcy, Marin, Somer, Lilli, and Noelle. That God will carry them through this day....

We miss you so much little man...seeing your smiling face and those long feet! We know that because of Christ, you are apart of our future...but the time in between seems so long and so painful.

Happy birthday sweet boy. We so long to see your face again....

Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope.

Oh, sweet friend. How my heart aches for you and your family today.

I can relate, obviously in my own way, to the secondary pain...it can be so agonizing.

I am on my knees for you all today, as I am everyday.

Much, much love to you.

I can't imagine how hard this day must be for you. Saying a quick prayer for you and your family. :(

We still remember you, Major. And we remember your family with prayer on this day.

Kathy, I share in this deep wrenching pain. As I sat yesterday by his grave, my heart flooded with emotions that left my heart feeling broken and lost. All I could do is rest my head there and weep. It was so hard! I agree with everything you said and the part where you said that we know the truth about God, but the pain is still very present, resonated in my heart. I miss my big brother and Darcy. I miss their joy and would make any sacrifice to bring back their joy. It hurts so much.

It is still an everyday kind of hurt.

Love to you all.
