The plan was to hang out at my parents house in the city until Christmas Eve and then head back to the homestead. But the blizzard of '09 hit the heartland and for my parents and my baby brother who was in town, it was the visit that never ended. We only stayed a couple of days longer than anticipated but wherever we go, we bring lots of action. We were able to celebrate Christmas before we made our trek back to the homestead.
