Celebrating Dad

Here are some {better late than-never} pictures of our family celebration for our favorite cowboy's birthday.
{Side note: I have no idea why Shep doesn't have a shirt on in the follow pics....none}

All ready to decorate dad's cake

Getting to work

A pinch here and there
{We were planning on doing a "N" shaped Husker cake, but that failed....we opted for a red velvet cake with black icing...not a bad plan B}

The finished product

Dad was surprised

A little gift opening

Reading the homemade cards from the boys

The cowboy likes the gift from his ranch hands

Blowing out the candles

A good, good time.

Thankful...

That picture of Jed with the Battleship game totally cracked me up. How fun! Tell the boys they did a GREAT job with the cake....do they cater? lol

So I know I don't know him, but Happy Birthday! I love the Battleship picture, too. We gave Matt the game Clue this year for his birthday, so he could teach/play it with the kids. What good dads :)

PS...it seems at least one boy is always shirtless in this house. I wouldn't have even noticed it in your picture except for you pointing it out!
