Chronicles of an injury.

We had a beautiful visit with these babes and their parents last week...

That is until....

We had let the older kids play outside for a bit by themselves, while the adults chatted {Technically the guys were working on a woodworking project....a story for another day..} We decided to head outside and take in the beautiful day. I was a millisecond from telling baby boy to get off of the cattle gate, {and 3 yards from him} when I heard him whimper and saw him laying on the ground. He had fallen and his sweet little head had hit a sharp piece of broken concrete. Then the blood. {Ohhhhh sweet goodness, the blood}. I took off baby boy's shirt, applied pressure {thank you middle school health class for leaving me with some tangible skill} and the cowboy was called. {Thankful to have our friends there to hold down the fort while we headed into town to close that thing up.}

Sol was amazing.

He did way better than mom
{the nurses/doctor kept asking if I needed to step out...more...like...step off :o)}

And I think....

He's going to be fine.
{Not even stitches....this time...}

Love him.

Thank you Parker family for coming down!
{Watching our kids, getting help, and loving us in general}
I can't tell you that hanging here wont always be this eventful, but I can tell you it'll keep you on your toes.

What an adventure! Looks like he is wearing his battle wound proudly!

Hang in there, Mama!
