Training DayWhen I look back on this trip to Utah, one of the things I will remember is the copious amounts of Olympic Coverage we watched. Admittedly, although a quasi athlete, I have never been much of an Olympic watcher. I have converted, due to several reasons:
1. Watching (live) France's mens relay team get their stuff handed to them by the U.S mens relay. (Awesome.)
2. The U.S. women's gymnastics team and their class act when clearly there seemed to be some shady stuff going down.
3. Michael Phelps and the gold medal extravaganza
4. This lady
So, when the opportunity arose to go check out the Olympic park in Utah, I was all for it. I had no idea however how much the boys would absolutely love it (And it was FREE). They have established a museum there that archives the memorabilia from the winter Olympics. We had a great time.We witnessed athletes (at what looked like an athletic camp that day) training on their skis, sliding down giant slopes into a giant pool. I thought the boys were going to tear up with excitement at watching the people ski down the slope and do flips into an enormous pool.
The anticipation

How fun! If you ever make it to Colorado Springs, be sure to check out the Olympic Training Center there. We went on vacation a year ago & checked it out (it would be even more fun with Tristan now).
