Tonight was Sam's first night at AWANA. Awana stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed taken from 2 Timothy 2:15 of the Bible. (You can check out the link for more info). I was in it as a child, (don't let that little factoid sway you on how great the program is) and I am so excited to see the first of my children head off to be a part of it too. (The kid seriously knew his verse already)

Shep was bummed to be without his older brother (despite mom telling him all the fun things we would get to do together). We are so thankful for the bond they share.You'll get to go next year big guy...
